Cody Great Bear Parks

Hello, I’m Cody Great Bear Parks, a proud member of the Catawba Indian Nation — the only federally recognized tribe in South Carolina. With nearly a decade of experience in the insurance industry, I’m dedicated to building relationships and helping clients protect what matters most with knowledge, integrity, and care.

My insurance career began in Florida with Arthur J. Gallagher, one of the nation’s leading E&O insurance firms. After two years, I transitioned to State Farm, where I spent over seven years expanding my expertise in personal and commercial insurance solutions. This experience has given me a deep understanding of risk management and client service from both corporate and community perspectives.

Beyond my professional life, I’m deeply involved in preserving and promoting Catawba culture. I create traditional Catawba Indian pottery, continuing an art form passed down through generations that predates the arrival of Christopher Columbus. I’m also the founder of Iswa Water Protectors, an Indigenous-led initiative focused on raising awareness about the importance of clean and accessible water for all.
